German-Australian Chamber of Commerce

Marko Walde and Jürgen Wallstabe from the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce visited Queensland Magnesia’s facilities at the Kunwarara Mine and Parkhurst site.

They gained valuable insight into why QMAG - part of the German Refratechnik Group Group - is recognized globally as a leader in technical-grade, high-purity caustic calcined magnesia, and saw firsthand the complexity of the processes involved.

A big thank you to Josh Dawson, Aaron Olsson and Leticia Shields for guiding them through your respective areas of the mine and the Parkhurst production plant.

After a productive day of conversations around Australian-German business ties and opportunities, Marko and Jürgen headed back to Sydney with plans to return to give other members of the German-Australian Chamber of Commerce the opportunity to have a closer look at QMAG’s unique production setup.
