Kunwarara Mine 2023 Exploration Program
The Kunwarara Mine 2023 exploration program is well under way.
Our onsite exploration and technical teams are working tirelessly to drill over 10,000m of exploration drilling culminating in over 10,000 individual samples to be collected, inspected and analysed before making its way to updating our ore body models.

Our ongoing partnership with Wallis Drilling has lasted over 10 years and continue to work seamlessly with a mutual focus on safety for our exploration teams and drillers while delivering quality drilling results and samples for QMAG.
The drilling program is approximately halfway and onsite teams are aiming to complete the drilling program before the wet season kicks in.
From our Ore to Your Door - Episode 9 - Health & Safety
Safety is not a component of our business, rather safety is an outcome of business.
From our Ore to Your Door - Episode 8 - In Pit Screening
QMAG currently mines 4 million tonnes of ore per year, from six to eight different pits.
We choose pits based on their magnesite content and contaminant concentrations. There are always at least two pits mined simultaneously to provide the Parkhurst plant with enough material at suitable quality to support our full suite of products.

Falcon Update
The peregrine falcons at QMAG’s Parkhurst processing facility are breeding again after an unfortunate setback in September.
